What is The Magic Librarian show?
Ron Geoffries uses his 35 years of experience as a children's entertainer to bring the magic of reading to your school. This jam packed 50 minute program combines magic, comedy, juggling, puppetry, music, and audience participation to reinforce the joy of reading and basic library skills.
The show comes complete with backdrops, music, sound system, tables, costumes etc. All you need to supply is a group of eager children.
This performance is as educational as it is entertaining. Some of the topics that are covered are:
Think about it: What skill is more important, more useful, or more wonderful than reading? What other skill can be serious and educational as well as wondrous and fun? Who is The Magic Librarian? I'm Ron Geoffries. I have been performing magic for 35 years since the age of 8. My degree is in Speech Communication and Theatre from the College of New Jersey. Besides magic, the only thing that I have done for a longer period of time is read. A serious effort has produced a show that combines both of these into a seamless assembly that your students and your teachers will thoroughly enjoy and remember.
How much is The Magic Librarian?
The cost of this performance is $495. If you have a large school and need a 2nd or 3rd show on the same day, the cost of each additional show is $275. Please feel free to call at any time for a list of available dates or for any other questions you may have. Take care.
